Welcome to Year 3

Year 3 at Meynell is an exciting and important step where children begin to explore learning in deeper, more independent ways. It’s a year filled with curiosity, growing confidence and new opportunities to build the skills they need for the next stage of their journey.

Each day offers meaningful, hands‑on experiences across the curriculum — from reading and writing to practical maths, creative tasks and discovering more about the world around us. Children are encouraged to ask questions, solve problems and take pride in their progress as they work together and learn from one another.

Our Year 3 classroom is warm, encouraging and full of enthusiasm. We support pupils to try their best, be kind and believe in their abilities, celebrating effort and achievement in all its forms.

As they grow in independence, Year 3 helps pupils to aspire, aim high and achieve personal goals, building resilience and confidence for the years ahead.
